Near the end of 2016 we transformed one of our older generation conservatories. It was a White PVCu Gable style conservatory with a polycarbonate roof. This was the before image:

It had served us well over the years, inspiring home owners to have their own conservatory. However, it did not represent the massive range of new, innovative products that are now on offer. So we decided to change it. And what a massive transformation it was!

We’re really pleased with the transformation. It represents what a modern glazed extension should be. Combining the comforts of a solid roof and brick walls with the expansive areas glass, light and modern-day aluminium bi-folding doors and windows.

Here are the products that we have used on our glazed extension:

  • WARMroof solid roof with a U-Value of just 0.17
  • Visofold 1000 smooth Anthracite Grey aluminium bi-folding doors – 4 section
  • Alutherm 600 smooth Anthracite Grey aluminium window
  • Alutherm Plus smooth Anthracite Grey aluminium single fully glazed door

All the glass units used are of the highest energy efficiency standards, including Argon gas, warm edge spacer bars, low ‘e’ insulating glass and low iron glass, ensuring valuable heat is kept inside the extension.
