There is a common misconception that ‘A’ rated windows mean quality. This unfortunately is not always the case. To achieve an ‘A’ rated window, materials such as Argon gas, warm edge spacer bars and low iron glass have to be used. We have an energy rating of A+5. But that outright doesn’t mean we have top quality windows and doors.
To make sure we install the best possible products possible, we fully reinforce our frames as standard, low aluminium door thresholds on all residential single doors and French doors, MDF reinforced door panels, 9 point locking on windows, 13 point locking on doors, low-line gaskets.
Without all the above it is still possible to achieve an ‘A’ rating, however the quality and security of the product is sacrificed. At B & P Windows we install windows and doors with both an excellent energy rating, and with the highest quality and best security features.
