Euro-profile door cylinder snapping in the UK, and especially the West Yorkshire area, has become a severe problem. Breaking glass and smashing down door panels has become a thing of the past. This new technique attacking the cylinders is unfortunately very quick, quiet and all too easy to do.
So what is the solution to this problem? We fit high security anti-snap/pull/bump/pick/extraction cylinders as standard in every single one of our PVCu, engineered or composite doors. The keys to these cylinders are registered which means you can only purchase extra keys from the original suppliers of the locks themselves. Thus preventing any dodgy characters getting hold of your keys and duplicating them at any old locksmith!
These cylinders also have the added option of ‘suiting’ the cylinders. This means that you can have one, or a set of keys that opens all the entrances to your home, getting rid of the need to have separate keys per door!
The bad news: most of the PVCu and aluminium doors out there will have current Euro-profile door cylinders which are the weak and insecure versions fitted quite a few years ago.
