At B & P Windows, we are keen to recycle as much as we can. There are a number of ways in which we do this.
The first is to recycle all the old PVCu frames we remove from old installations. A specialist PVCu recycling company takes away the old frames to be turned into 101 different things.
The second is all the old timber frames get taken away also. A local businessman takes our old timber away to be cut down and used as wood for outdoor stoves etc.
Third is to make sure we recycle ALL office paper we don’t use. As we are a business, we receieve plenty of industry related magazines, so as soon as these start to accumulate these also go the way of the green paper bin. Paper wastage is one of the biggest sins any business commits, so we were determined to do something about it.
The result of all this means we use less skips, which in turn uses less fuel and carbon to come and replace them. It also costs us less. The skip company we use is also highly dedicated to recycling. Once the full skip enters their premises all the materials get sorted into recyclable groups.
The more we can re-use and the less we send to landfill the better!
