Soffits and fascias are very important parts of the structure of your house, yet are often ignored. The roofline provides protection to the house roof from the weather. They make sure water doesn’t find it’s way in and let rot start. However, if they are timber, they can rot themselves, and once this starts, they aren’t of much use to the house as they won’t provide the protection the roof needs.

At B & P Windows we install high quality, well ventilated PVCu soffits and fascias to replace old tired timber ones. In addition, we install new downpipes, guttering, cladding and birdguard. All our soffits and fascias come in a wide range of colours and wood grain choices to provide that extra bit of character. We fit birdguard (for obvious reasons), and also install Celuguard where possible. This stops water gathering between the fascia and soffit boards, preventing festering smells.

Another item which is also important are the dry verges. These are the cement ends on the gable side of properties, underneath the tile. Over time the weather can ruin these ends and cause the cement to crumble away, making the area look unsightly. One option is to fill them in again with cement, but the problem will occur again in the future. One solution to this is to fit our grey/white PVCu dry verge tiles. These cover the cement ends and the tiles to create a modern clean look, while keeping the elements at bay. And because they are made from PVCu, they won’t crumble away like cement does!
