Colour
The role of colour plays a big part when choosing new windows and doors for your home. For this installation, the client decided on Anthracite Grey wood grain for the external finish, with a white wood grain internal finish. The Anthracite Grey colour works very well with the light colour of the stone paving slabs and the mixed red brick walls of the building. This was a home re-built from the ground up, designed and crafted to the exact specifications of the home owner.
Product
The product used for this installation is our range of Evolution timber alternative PVCu Storm 2 casement windows and high-end timber alternative PVCu residential doors and French doors. This is becoming an increasingly popular choice of product for home owners who desire the beauty of timber, combined with the modern conveniences of PVCu.
Our timber alternative PVCu Storm 2 casement windows achieve an impressive A+11 window energy rating, ensuring that your home is as well insulated and warm as possible.
Timber aesthetics was a key requirement for our client on this project, and we were able to deliver that, whilst adding the low maintenance advantages that PVCu brings.
Feedback
Our client had some specific needs for this installation. Not only was a timber look vital, but also for the glazed areas to be as large as possible. This is where the timber alternative PVCu Storm 2 casement product performed so well.
The nature of it’s design means each casement sits as closed as possible to the outer frame, meaning minimal overlaps increasing the size of the profile of the product. It means we can deliver a sleek finish that looks just like timber.
A happy home owner with a stunning self-build that will provide great enjoyment for years to come. And a product that demonstrates perfectly how far PVCu has come in the past few years alone.
