Colour

Colour has played an important feature throughout the rebuilding of this home in Ilkley. The home owner was keen to ensure that the windows and doors tied in smoothly with the whole project. The windows and door frames in this installation are Anthracite Grey wood grain externally, with White wood grain internally. Our composite doors are Chartwell Green wood grain externally, again with white wood grain internally. These colours are part of the wider theme of this property.

Product

The product used for this project is the increasingly popular Evolution timber alternative flush-sash casement PVCu windows. It’s a product that has been designed from the very beginning to mimic in great detail all aspects of traditional flush timber windows, but combined with the low maintenance properties of PVCu.

We have also used our Solidor Chartwell Green Composite doors to the front and rear of this major home renovation. They sit in Anthracite Grey outer frames. Whilst there is an obvious contrast between the two colours, they work very well together, and both compliment the light coloured render that has been used on the property. The Chartwell Green cladding installed by the home owner’s builders also ties in with the overall theme of the property.

Feedback

We worked with our client to understand all the product options that were available, and to ensure that he was happy with the final product of choice.

Colour was one of they key factors in this project as there were other areas of the project that had to tie in with the windows and doors, for example the cladding, render, driveway and so on. A clean, slim, timber look was also a requirement, and that is something the Evolution timber alternative flush-sash PVCu window could provide. The Solidor composite doors also fit in well with the overall scheme of the project, with the home owner deciding on a funky, yet fashionable door design for the front of the property that really work well.
